HOW TO
CARE FOR YOUR CANDLE
The First Burn MATTERS
o Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container on the first burn. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candles life.
o This may take 1-2 Hours, depending on the size of your candle.
Trim the Wick Before Each Use
o Keep your wood wick trimmed to 1/8"-3/16" (3-5mm) before lighting
o If the flame is too high or the candle is producing soot, trim the wick slightly
o Remove any charred wood from precious burns to maintain a steady flame
Burn in a Safe Location
o Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, fans, pets, and children
o Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Avoid Burning For Too Long
o Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
o Allow the candle to cool and reset before relighting
Extinguish Properly
o Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid splattering wax by not blowing too hard
o Do not use water to extinguish the candle.
Store Properly
o Keep your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and dust.
When to Discontinue Use
o Discontinue burning when there is about 1/2 inch (1 cm) of wax left at the bottom.
o Burning beyond this point can cause the container to overheat.
